In 2014 some of the campers decided to hold an Anzac Day Dawn Service at the Airstrip. The Croft family wanted to run a small ceremony with their trumpeter daughter playing for their guest who was a veteran. Other campers joined in, procuring a flag pole, flag, bonfire and shotguns for a 7 gun salute, and cameras. Thanks to all who helped.
The service may not have run to military precision, but those attending enjoyed the service in a magnificent setting, and retired to the bonfire to warm up after.
